How to Manage Access to Your Hostinger Account

3 min read

Approve a developer’s access request in one click, and stay the owner of everything

The short version

  1. Send us the email address you registered with on Hostinger
  2. We send an access request to that address
  3. You approve it, choosing Collaborator as the level
  4. We get to work

That’s it. Nothing to set up on your side.

How access sharing works

Hostinger has a feature built for exactly this situation. Rather than handing over login details, you approve a request, and the developer works under their own Hostinger login with their own security.

The practical difference is control. The account stays yours. We’re working inside it with permission you granted, at a level you chose, visible to you the whole time. You can see who has access from your dashboard, and adjust it whenever you want.

It’s also less work for you. You don’t configure anything or generate anything — you approve a request and carry on with your day.

What we need from you

The email address you used to register with Hostinger.

That’s all. Send it over and we’ll send the request to it. It has to be the exact address on the account, so copying it from your Hostinger welcome email is safer than typing it from memory.

Approving the request

Once we send it, you’ll get an email from Hostinger, and a notification inside your dashboard.

Open it and you’ll see who’s requesting access and what they’re asking for. Check that the name and email match ours, then approve.

You’ll be asked to choose an access level. Pick Collaborator.

LevelWhat it covers
CollaboratorBuilding and managing your website — files, settings, domain
AdminThe same, plus making purchases on your saved payment method

Collaborator is what we need. It covers the whole build. Admin adds spending ability that isn’t part of our work.

Approve, and we’re in.

What this covers

With Collaborator access, we can install and configure WordPress, build and upload your site, connect your domain, set up email addresses, and handle backups and security certificates — everything needed to take the site from empty account to live website.

Your billing, payment methods, and account ownership stay entirely with you.

Hostinger also keeps the arrangement visible: your dashboard shows who currently has access, and a notification bar appears while someone is working inside the account. You can always see the state of things.

Why we work this way

Every website we build is set up so the client owns the foundations — the hosting account, the domain, the site’s admin login. We work through access you grant and control.

It means the site is yours in a way that doesn’t depend on the relationship continuing. That’s the whole point.

Anything unclear when the request arrives? Send us a screenshot and we’ll walk you through it.

You send us the email you registered with, approve the request, and we get to work. The account stays yours throughout.
